It provides homes for those who can't get public housing and who can't afford extortionate rents. With the selling off of council housing, relentless privatisation of public assets to greedy individuals and private companies, general corruption and incompetence of many housing associations and councils, it has become necessity for many of us.
SQUATTING creates space for needed community projects. These have included art projects, community computing projects, childcare/nursery projects and much more.
